”Puyotto ★! She's a bright and energetic girl. Although her dream is to become a wonderful magic user, she's very jittery and clumsy, and is always making mistakes. However, she never gives up, and she never loses hope! She is very positive, and is a person who does her best, straight up.”
--Translation of her Puyo Puyo Fever 2 profile.
In a way, Amitie tends to be a bit of a contradiction, she never gives up but she drops the subject if the person asks to, she’s bright but she’s ditzy. Contradiction. While she’s not really they type of person to pay easily attention at class, that doesn’t meant she’s straight-up dumb, it’s the question to make her pay attention, with that, she’s a fairly bright girl. In fact, she was the one who first theorize Sig’s origin’s may relate to Klug’s strange book, and she was also the first to point out Klug’s sudden strange behavior during the events of Fever 2. Being the fact she has her own share of flaws, she’s rather naive and often not understanding simple puns or jokes, so it’s not surprising for people to overlook it as a sign of stupidity. This also goes with her eccentric quirks, such as dragging people into misadventures and her strange personal tastes like clothing style (which she genuinely thought look ‘cool’) and her way of speaking (“Get really real!”).
As said before, she has her own share of flaws, she’s fairly clumsy and makes mistakes, like how she would tend to trip and fall when getting hit on a nuisance Puyo. But again, Amitie is a bit of a contradiction, despite her shortcomings, she’s considerably a fairly balanced person and is skilled with stacking Puyos on her head. And, even with her past mistakes, they tend to turn into some form of fortune at some point. You can probably say it was sheer luck, but one could only tell.
She’s very energetic! She’s a very sociable person who would cheerfully attemps to befriend people, she also doesn’t have much bad intentions, she’s pretty honest to what she wants. Amitie enjoys the company of others and often drag them into some form of misadventures or to her rather oddball ideas. Plus, it would honestly take a mountain on mars to make her upset, she’s very upbeat like that. Positive attitudes tend to wrap around her personality like a blanket, she’s upbeat, cheery, a good sport and optimistic.
She’s also someone who would never give up. Even with all the mistakes and falls, she’s not likely to quit just there, she would try to climb back up even if it takes her all year long. So in regards, she probably has a more positive stubbornness, she’s pretty hard to shake down, whether it’s because it’s about her dream as a wonderful magic user or if it was just another day with her oddball adventures.
Amitie sometimes tend to fit the picture of innocence, even with her now reaching the age of 16. Along with her ideas and naivety, she’s also rather a pretty big curiosity, which is even a lot harder to handle thanks to her stubbornness. Also to go along with that, she’s also a bit of a bigmouth, as seen thanks to her curiosity about Oshare’s life before the living dead, she was the one who spread it to other later on as the story goes further. Her naivety, while not as bad as say Sig’s, would sometimes make her believe people’s tall tales or faux achievement, for an example she was rather addmitedly intimidated with facing against Klug in 15th anniversary.
Innocence isn’t always a bliss though, thanks to her naivety, Amitie also has a bit of a problem realizing danger unless it’s absolutely dire. Which is to say, dire as in, say an inter-dimensional being with the mind of a child planning to destroy all universe by burying and crushing it in Puyo. Even when she was facing Klug, who was at the time possessed by the more malevolent parts of a demon, she remained her cheerful self and went against him head on. Though, that doesn’t mean she isn’t unable to feel sadness or fear, rather she prefers not, it’s a lot better to cope.
Backstory:
Once upon a time, there was a couple, and they had a child. She was rather small, but the couple had hoped for her to be someone energetic, someone cheerful and be friends with everyone, they named the child Amitie, which means friendship. But, her parents knew that their child may inheritted their magic, perhaps even more, and made the Puyo cap for her to keep her safe from both everyone and herself. Unfortunately, even with their miraculous magic, it wasn’t enough for them to realize their fate that was soon to come. It was during their journey to move to Primp, as fate had it, they were crushed by
Initially, Ms. Accord had only the intention of taking care of little Amitie in case of wounds or injuries and later drop her to a more stable home, however she quickly noticed her cap hold some sort of magic, one that was untapped and possibly dangerous if fallen to the wrong hands. Needless to say, the young teacher wasted no time to adopt Amitie as her own, and admittedly, the child really grew on her in a way.
Years passed and Amitie grew to be a pretty happy kid despite lacking much of a parental figure, it wasn’t that Ms. Accord didn’t cared, but she was just busy with her classes that’s all! It really didn’t bother her whatsoever, the small child would just play around, often getting caught in playing Puyo alone whenever the others weren’t around, or just stacking them about in her head. She was strangely good at stacking them on top her head...
However, one day, she made a small mistake that nearly costed her life. It was a typical noon, she was just playing about and stacking Puyos, that is until she slipped and fell into a hole. You see, Amitie was never the graceful child, in fact she’s rather clumsy, only able to stack Puyos with proper balance. Needless to say, the small child was afraid after the first hour, it was dark and confide in the hole, and no one was around. It was really scary! That is until a warlock pulled her out from the hole, she was rather confused by the older magic user, and before she could ask his name, he was already gone.
After that incident, she tried asking Ms. Accord, but she simply said that person was just a wonderful magic user, a person who uses their magic to help people. She was rather confused at first, but a wonderful magic user sounds amazing! Little Amitie wondered if she could one day grow up to be someone that amazing, helping people around with such magic. Ms. Accord smiled to her and assured to her that if she worked hard, she can achieve anything. And she will! She’s going to study hard once she’s old enough to go to school!
And eventually, that day had came. Her going to school that is, being a wonderful magic user is still a very long, long road. School’s very strange, indeed! Well, it’s not so strange, but rather all new. From then on, she lived in the school’s living quarters rather than Accord’s small house near the forest, but it’s okay! This was all a pretty fun, new experience! Her new classmates were also interesting, there was shy people like Rider, someone confident and strong like Raffine, and a bunch of others. Yep, she was going to try being friends with everyone, because that’s what you do at school, right? Making friends? Yep! Well, it’s hard, since there were people who were so stubborn or grumpy all the time, like Raffine and Klug.
But eventually, they all at least get along in some form or way. Class’s also fun! Ms. Accord taught them various spells and ways on playing Puyo. Then one day, Ms. Accord accidentally ‘misplaced’ her flying cane. But the fun part is the fact she’s willing to give a prize to whoever finds it first and everyone was psyched to find it! She then started her search in the Woods of Nahe, that is, before Raffine blocked her way and challenged her to a game of Puyo.
More or less, it went like that, from opponent to opponent, people, animals, and the undead challenged her to the typical puzzle game. From the Woods of Nahe, to Zig-Zag Peak, and before she knew it, she was already in the Ta-Doon-Da Castle. Which, she encountered the mysterious, black prince named Popoi who turns out to have the cane with him! The young magic user in training challenged the black cat into a battle of Puyo, it was tough but she won and got the cane! Which was pretty surprising that Popoi turns out to be the teacher’s beloved cat puppet, so it was all an exercise!? Too bad one sentence (‘Aw, shucks! Think nothing of it!’) cost her special gift and Ms. Accord wanted them all to get back to class for another lesson. Get really real!
(Though, still, she wonders even today why they suddenly found Raffine sleeping near the school grounds with a big bump on her head, did she had a tantrum and accidentally bumped herself after their match and decided to nap it all away?)
Then life went on like usual, but things had changed after awhile. Just as soon as Rider was slowly opening up to her, she had to move another class, Klug became a bit more open but also even more confident, and they also had a new classmate! His name is Sig, he's pretty funny and space out a lot, but he's fun to be with of course. Then, after another day from class, Ms. Accord informed her that sh was expecting a visitor, though they might not know how to get to the school, so wanted the blond to be the visitor’s guide for the day.
Without much complaint, Amitie rushed off to find the visitor, though she seemed to have forgot to ask her teacher what they looked liked. Not to mention forgetting her turn about an observation data of the Tsukimawari flower, but that’s another story. So off she went searching for their visitor, starting by checking the woods of Nahe. Kind of deja vu-ish, isn’t it? But instead of meeting her classmate and pseudo-friend-rival, she instead meets Onion Pixy who doesn’t want her to pass.
She beat him in the game of course, but instead going of further in the forest, she decided to head go through the Highway of Rakuti instead and meet Tarutaru. He wasn’t much help really, in fact, the two shoot some breeze before deciding a game of Puyo. Which then, Amitie headed for the Mansion of Clandestin’s then back again to Highway of Rakuti after beating the ghost twins, Yu and Rei, and the hell-hound Baldanders. At the Highway, instead of seeing the strange fellow Tarutaru again, she encounters Arle, the mysterious dimension traveling girl. Though admittedly, it’s rather puzzling how she manage to get into their world after a game of puyo there, which then Amitie hatched a plan to hit Arle with a pan and challenged her to puyo.
So yeah, Amitie basically was just wandering around Primp and a bit of it’s outskirts, insisted on searching for the visitor while talking to various people she met along the way. But she really was searching! Which is why she decided to head to Rakuti in case the visitor was lost there, she just kinda got distracted, that’s all! But anyways, she was rather confused on where the mysterious visitor is, without realizing it, she found herself in wandering to the Dunes of Pitto. Where could that visitor possibly be?
She thought the she was alone in the Dunes, but apparently not! There was a strange man, in a green cloak, hat and a simple wooden broom. He claims himself as being lost, though his words were suspicious, saying things like promising the young blond candy and that if he won in a game of Puyo she’d have to come with him! Get real! Wasn’t this kidnapping!?
But thankfully, even though the match was a lot more trickier than the ones before, she manage to beat the suspicious man. Though apparently, the suspicious man was the visitor, oops. She helped the poor warlock up and sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding. It’s good to know he understands though, that was kinda embarrassing! The warlock was a comet warlock named Lemres, while he was strange, he was actually pretty nice and this wasn’t definitely the last time she saw him.
Well, things went on like usual as always from that day and Lemres stayed for a few days, though Klug has been acting a bit stranger lately. Yeah, sure, the purple clad boy tended to mutter weird babbles, but it’s just been. Stranger. Though, he seemed to get angry when she misinterpret his words and challenged her to a game of Puyo, very weird. Klug was always pretty nice to her, even helping her out on that flying cane search last year, so why did he suddenly acted unlike his usual self? Curious, curious...
(Though, yeah, she did made Lemres loose the items he was suppose to deliver, but still...)
So anyways, after Klug stomped away and her deciding to get something in Oshare’s shop, she decided to take a shortcut to Highway of Rakuti, to only meet a Rider who was acting as a messenger from Klug. From the letter, apparently, Klug couldn’t accept defeat and was willing to ‘overlook’ the fact, however challenged her to meet him in the ruins and fight him again once he had unleashed more power. But, she actually doesn’t feel like going though... too bad Rider seemed to be taking Klug’s side and making sure Amitie complies after a match of Puyo!
Well, okay, she’ll listen and try to head to the ruins, Klug might be trying to do something dangerous again with this so it’s best someone stopped him soon anyways. After her encounter with a strange Howhow bird (who thought himself as a superhero?), she headed to the Mansion of Clandestin’s to find Baldanders again and a stranger, muttering girl. She hoped that she could’ve ask the doggie to sniff Klug out, though instead he brought a Dongurigaeru and attempted to eat him! After her encounter with the strange dog, she had met the girl –Feli, not far in the mansion, muttering curses. She seemed someone Klug might be friends with, or at least get along, though apparently she had made the purple-haired girl angry and the dark magic user nearly attempted to ‘erase’ her if Amitie wasn’t so quick on her feat on a Puyo match.
Eventually, Amitie finally made her way to the Ruins of Arca. Not long before she entered the ruins, she encountered the suspicious-sounding warlock again! Apparently, according to Lemres, the items he delivered unleashed Klug’s ‘demon’. The young magic user in the making wasn't necessarily sure what this meant, but she still had to save Klug no matter what! Somehow, both magic users came to a decision that whatever outcome happens when both of them play a Puyo match, one of them has to go and save Klug first. And like the previous battle, she succeeded in beating the warlock despite the tough odds.
Finally, she delved deeper into the ruins and found Klug, however dressing more strangely than usual. He was talking more strangely too...
Actually...
Wait a second...
Klug doesn’t wear those glasses!
This is a different person and she found out their secret, and so the final confrontation starts with another Puyo match! And wicked! She won! Though her opponent muttered something about a bookmark, was it the one on the book? She curiously pulled it out and poof! Klug, the real Klug, is back! She wasn’t really sure what he meant that he was just experimenting on ‘what happens if you get possesed by a book’, but at least he hasn’t done anything crazy again.
And despite the crazy adventure, time went on yet again while bringing a few changes. Such Lemres, who would frequently now visit Primp for fun, Baldanders who would like to play with the kids at school, so on and so forth.
And then, during one sunny day, the town held a tournament of sort; which the winner gets one wish granted. Naturally, everyone was dead-set on being the champion, including lil ol’ Amitie! Though it’s a bit weird thouh, there were some visitors like Lemres and Feli sure, but there were also visitors that claimed that they were brought here not by their own! Hmm, that sounds really weird. But, apparently, their friends of Arle –the girl she befriends with during the flying cane incident, who had somehow warped from her dimension to Amitie's. Sadly, the young blond lost to a horned man who claimed to be Arle’s fiance. Get really real! She can’t imagine Arle falling in love with a guy like him, it’s too weird! Though, somehow, that person became her knew headmaster, was it because he wished it? Kinda a drag though, but it doesn’t really bother her much to be honest.
It seemed like, ever since the cane incident, there was always another adventure following up after another, in between her regular, less rushing school days that is. It’s pretty weird, but she doesn’t mind much, most of them are pretty fun anyways! Though, like how the pattern works, after the tournament and a following of regular, quiet days, she was suddenly dragged into another far-out adventure—this time in another dimension! This dimension is pretty weird though, apparently Ringo- a girl from that dimension and her new friend, Puyos had recently fell from the sky and she was trying to figure out the cause of this. But apparently, Amitie wasn’t the only one who suddenly got into another dimension, most of her friends got caught in as well.
So, Amitie helped Ringo along the way to solve this phenomenon, meeting with people both from Amitie and Arle’s home world. But speaking of Arle, Ringo said she acted a bit strange before leaving—wait, there she was! Why was she wearing funny robes? What’s going on!? So, Ringo fought Arle in a match of Puyo, but it turns out it wasn’t Arle, but some inter-dimensional entity that both possessed the brunette magic user AND cause the tear and mesh from all the dimension. Phew... that was a mouthful, though she doesn’t fully understand what Ringo had meant, but it sounded dangerous!!
And so, Ringo fought another match with this strange being called Ecolo, whom had happily(!?) released himself out of Arle’s body and wanting to posses Ringo next. After getting beaten for the second time, the black-thingie went beserk and messed up the dimensions even more! Causing some strange space things like wormholes and rips even further! All hope was lost, Ecolo had won and was ready bury all existence with puyo.
But nope! Turns out both Amitie and Arle managed to escaped the warped dimensions, and all three girls worked together and challenged the being one last time. The dimensions were restored, sadly Amitie couldn’t say goodbye because before she knew it she was back at Primp again...
Back to the peaceful times, while shenanigans still happened, they didn’t scaled as big as the incident at the ruins, or with dimensional problems. She would still hang out with Arle and try to figure out how to get her back to her own world, or head to Oshare’s shop even though he would scold her with not wearing the latest trends and stuff. It actually lasted longer than usual, enough to make her forget about her redheaded friend from the Suzuran shopping district.
Well, almost.
The peacefulness did last long, true, but then when she was just walking about in the woods of Nahe, she suddenly found a familiar redhead. It took her awhile to realize, but it was Ringo! It was her friend from the other dimension! She was surprise to see her here in Primp, but apparently, her upperclassman conducted an experiment and because of its failure, it threw them into Amitie’s world. Huh, that sounds really whacked! But she believed the redhead, she usually wasn’t the one to talk about ‘unlogical’ things, so maybe it was true.
For the time being, Ringo, and her two schoolmates, Maguro and Risukuma stayed in one of the school’s dorm rooms, just at least until they figure out how to get back. Even with the edition of the three new visitors, it was still more or less the daily life though, not much misadventures or regular adventures... But, lately, she’s been having strange dreams, they’re hard to tell but it feels like something important, maybe even relating to her cap...
Eventually, it got to Amitie’s studies. Well, she was never the one to paid completely attention to class, but usually, it wasn’t because there was something on her mind. She had tried asking Accord though, but like usual, the teacher had used words that don’t explain much and left it off just like that. Huh. Maybe she could ask around? Even though Raffine was a bad start (she didn’t really care about the hat, she just wanted to find Ms. Accord to help her diet...), there has to be someone around that knows something! So she started with Rider, then somehow meeting up with Sig who then suggested that “bookworm” might know a thing or two. Alright! At least we might be going somewhere now! Though she doesn’t know any bookworms so Sig had to come along and show her the way.
Oh, it’s just Klug! Um, okay wait, it’s the ‘the future great warlock, Klug-sama’. Though yeah, Klug might know thing or two! He is all-knowing and all! So she asked him, and his reaction is kinda funny, and when she asked him again, he says she’ll tell her after a Puyo match. Alright, she’s always up for that! Which, she luckily won, but sadly it didn’t help her giving an answer, looks like Klug didn’t knew either. Oh well, but she was still curious about the hat, so she decided to left Klug off to his research-thing and see if someone else might knew. But he did gave an interesting suggested though, “it might be from somewhere far from here,” he said. Hmm...
Somewhere far...? She wondered to herself as she walked to another place in town, only to be greeted by Arle. Wait, Arle! She’s from another world, she might know a thing or two about the hat. Though apparently, she didn’t knew but thought someone called ‘Witch’ might, after having a game of a Puyo, they went off to find this Witch-person and ask her a question or two. And indeed, she was another one of Arle’s strange companions, but apparently, she sense something powerful within the hat! Woah! Though she says she has to look into the hat so Amitie should take it off for the time being until she figures out what’s up with it.
But nope! The hat didn’t want to be taken off, and even after Witch tried to pull it off from her, it still won’t budge. There was an odd feeling in Amitie, and she suddenly challenged the older blond to a match! She won, but Amitie quickly retreated away from the other blond, in fear that she might just pull out something crazy like her meteor spells or something. As luck would have it, she then ran into her teacher, confusedly, she tried asking her teacher again, who said that she would tell the secret of the hat if she won a match against her. She can take it no problem, she’ll definitely find out what’s up with her hat now!
So the secret of that is....
It suits Amitie the most out of all the citizens of Primp. W-wha...
She can’t really accept this, there must be more to it than that. But her teacher only assured her that it was only her imagination and that nothing was wrong with the hat. Well, um, it’s Ms. Accord and she did look after her since she was a baby and all, so it’s okay to trust her and all, right? Right! Guess time to call it a day and head to Oshare’s shop for an ice cream or something before it’s too late.
But, to be honest, she couldn’t. The thought about the dreams and the hat tends to pop up in the back of her mind more often that she could count these days! It was kinda bothering the magic user more than she lets on. But then, out of the blew during a noon after another day of class, Ms. Accord recommended her to exchange schools to a place, a place where she could learn even more magic. No way! That sounds really wicked, maybe she could get more closer to her dream of being a wonderful magic user if she attends! And so, without a second thought, the blond signed up and off she went to the school residing in Final Destination City.
Anything Else?:
(Most of these have been explained in either the backstory or personality section, but this is to make it more clear.)
- It’s been implied that her cap holds powerful magic, but it’s currently untapped. So far, we know that she can’t give it to someone, and they can’t pulled it off from her. I’m gonna go and say that when Accord said it ‘suit’ her, it meant that the cap’s real function is to hold off Amitie’s power and it’s full potential will be shown in due time, she can’t give it to anyone and they can’t pulled it off from her with force, but the old 15th anniversary animation shows it popping on and off from her in her losing animation, so gonna imply that it would sort of knocked off when they user is knocked off but will still try to stick on the next second. It also can shapeshift, since it looks more like a beanie than a round-cap in later games. 8|b
-Spells! She has a lot thanks to
- a. Accelerate; enhancement spell, Amitie slightly raises her speed and, possibly, strength.
b. Exkrixis; It means explosion, though PPF2 animation makes it look similar to firework, so yeah. Fireworks explosion.
c. Blast Beat; summons a gust wind.
d. Cyclone Whirl; similar to Blast Beat, except animation shows that the cyclone is around her arm, presumably, she punches people while it’s on affect.
e. Aktina; means ray, 20th animation shows Amitie firing out a ray or of sort with her hands, presumably, it’s function is an attack spell that lets hershoot laser beamsfire out a laser with her hands
f. Faery Fair; stronger version of Aktina, LASER PILLAR.Yeah, I’m not sure either.
g. Bayoen; finishing spell. According to a trivia bit in 20th it ‘traps (her) opponents in a state of wonder’. In detail, this probably works like a illusion spell, but messes around the brain a bit, as if the illusion feels real. i.e in the illusion, you get hit by a rock, there’s no real injury, but you felt pain. However, it works only in a short period of time.
Apart from those, her other spells, flame, blizzard, and lightning bolt are pretty much self-explanatory.
- According to Fever 2 character profiles, her birthday is on May 5th, a Taurus and exactly as Children’s day. Her blood-type is O. She likes her Red Puyo Cap and is skilled with stacking puyos on her head.
- In game, she’s classified as a well-balanced player, totaling 38 puyos. This kinda relates to her specialty of stacking puyos, so it’s pretty much assumed that despite contradicting her klutzy personality and grace, Amitie still has a somewhat good balance.
- Amitie @ the Puyo Nexus wiki, in case you need some lookings!
- GAME ROUTES, a (kinda) shorter version of what happened in the games with different perspectives is that, her story in Fever 1’s WakuWaku course happened but Raffine beat to her to the cane first and by the time Amitie arrived in the castle, Raffine already knocked unconscious and is already teleported near the school. Fever 2’s WakuWaku courses goes like this, Amitie route goes first but Sig meets Lemres before she does meanwhile Raffine was either before or after her meeting Lemres (Omitted for any potential Raffine player!). Fever 2’s HaraHara either happens later in the day or the day after, Amitie and Raffine meets Klug before he unleashed the demon from the book, Strange Klug was defeated by Sig, Raffine and finally Amitie. 15th Anniversary’s canon route is Satan’s, Seven remains the main scenario not the alternative character scenario. And finally, for future castmates to interpret either way, whether other routes in 20th happened or not is omitted, I’m just gonna say hers had happened.
- She is a perpetrator for using dated and/or childlike slangs (batankyu/oh phooey, wicked, psych, batchigu) and sounding out effects ('Doki doki'; hearbeat).
- Her fashion sense isn't ALL that bad it's just. Seem to make her look more younger than she is.
- On a slight note, her naivete is actually a lot less extreme than say. Sig.

- Basically, she acts more younger than her age, though the series seems to make an implication than she's a symbol of childhood or innocence.

In-Character 3rd person writing post:
Amitie was absolutely excited being in a new school! She just can’t wait to meet new people, and being friends with a lot of people. That was the fun thing about school, right? To have lots and lots of friends and have fun!
Though, they weren’t kidding, the trip from Primp to FDC was both a long and a difficult one, but that’s sort of expected when Primp’s isolated with forests, the sea and a dessert. It was fun though, she got to ride a train again, she thought they only existed in Ringo’s world! Turns out there were ones here too, wicked! She marveled around the big, spacious hallways, they were different from her old school, but maybe they’re about the right size? They seemed big enough.
Without realizing it, she accidentally bumped into a pillar, ouchies. Maybe she should watch where she’s going before she bump into someone by accident.
